Dribbling is not just for boys!

How times have changed.  My high school was very progressive and separated the boys' gym from the girls'.  Personally, I think it was to spare the boys from seeing us in our ugly uniforms.  Girls' basketball was a totally different game from today's version.  There were six on a team, 3 forwards and 3 defense on each half of the court and one was fouled for stepping over the center line.  Only two dribbles were allowed before either passing or shooting the ball.  Perhaps, all these rules were made to protect us girls from possibly hurting ourselves.

Thank goodness the old uniforms went the way of the weak and passive "perfect" ladies.  My granddaughters love their sports including soccer, basketball, gymnastics, shopping, dancing, flirting, etc.  They are the typical girls of our time - how refreshing!  Like all kids, though, they are much more interested in what the treat is at the end of a game than who won.

The Superhero Workshop on the Go is perfect for boys and girls of all ages and interests.  Our kids are all heroes in their own rights.  Let's celebrate each one!
